Life
* 1989-1991: Voluntary Service on behalf of Mennonite Central Committee at the Lancaster Mediation (mediation, not meditation!) Center, Lancaster, Pa.
* April, 1992: Moved to Philadelphia, Pa.
* December, 1992: My father, Rev. Lee Gipson Bowman, dies from complication of diabetes.
* July, 1994: Commitment ceremony: Lloyd Frederick Bowman and Douglas Lynn Brunk
* 1996: Completed graduate degree and began work in Dept. of Pathology, Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

* 2003: Left University of Pennsylvania.
October, 2005: Met our son-to-be, Sheldon Thomas, Pittsburgh, Pa.; Sheldon becomes part of our family later in the month.
* May 26, 2006: We adopt our son, Sheldon Bowman-Brunk.
* September, 2006: The college hunt begins in earnest.
* December, 2006: Sheldon accepted into Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania.
