Life
Widowed as of Oct. 2006...starting over again. Selling my house, living near the Adirondacks.
I graduated from University of Michigan w/ a B.A. in 1973 and an MSW in 1977 (after first marriage and two daughters--Rachel and Shiela). Worked several years for the House of Representatives and the Senate in the State of Michigan (state budget analyst--staff to Appropriations committees). watercolor artist and continue to paint.
Moved to upstate NY in 2000 because of husband's family. After two years of intensive caregiving to husband dying of pancreatic cancer, I'm just now feeling freer and enjoying life again. Singing in choir, reading, writing (in a writer's group), painting, and knitting for grandchildren. Life is good.
I'm single again and making new friends. Active in the United Methodist Church...choir and stewardship.
MS in remission...take some good preventative medicine and it is under control. Pace myself...life is good.
