I have a wonderful companion; McB (Michael.) We travel together & enjo0y each others company. We are both active in our local Democratic Club.
When I married Ray (my second husband,) in 1982 & moved to the desert,. I stopped working as an RN for 22 years. After Ray died, I returned to work for a year & then retired.
During the 22 years that I was unemployed, I was involved in many volunteer activities; president of our local office of the American Red Cross, presedent of the Humane Society, on the boards of Unity Home (our local battered womens shelter,) the Hi Desert Play House, the Democratic Club & Yucca Valley Public Arts Advisory Committee.
I've worked on at least 75 plays, both on stage & back stage. In 1994, I won the Best supporting actress award from the Desert Theater League for tth role of Ouiza in "STEEL MAGNOLIAS" at the Groves Theater in Morongo Valley. I retired from acting after that but continued to stage manage for another 10 years.".
