Lois's Story
2009
We have just celebrated our 37th wedding anniversary this month June 2011. Wow it has gone so fast. I still live in Calgary. Over the years we moved around the city quite a bit but have now been in the same house for 21.5 years. We are looking to move sometime in the next year or so. Hoping to retire to a smaller place north west or southwest of the city in 5 years.
I have 2 beautiful daughters who are all grown up with families of their own and I have 3 wonderful grandsons. I have worked in the oil and gas business since I was 18 with a career in drafting and research both in the field and in the office for every discipline of the job. for remote locations with quad transportation on seismic cutlines in northern Alberta. This required quad training and licencing as well as RCMP gun training for an FAC as the quads were equiped with rifles for bear country. I am now working with GIS mapping creation for Emergency Response Planning under my own company as a contractor.
2011.
2014- I am now retired. Although may look for a job part time in the near future. I now have 4 grandsons and 1 step grandson. Moving to Airdrie in a week. Been in the same house for 24 years. Next month is our 40th Anniversary. Hope to hear from you all soon. Please post pictures now and then.
