Lola's Story
Hey Ill.! I know somebody out there has got to remember me....? If not oh well. I attended the 3rd grade and lived right across the street from Shiloh Park. Relocated at the age of 7 to Phoenix, AZ due to family health issues. Dryer climate was recommended for members suffering from Bronchial Asthma! I miss Ill. Probably going back someday for a visit. What prompted registration to this site was Tyler Perry's movie Meet the Browns. they showed some Projects near the route of the L train; if they still call it that in Chicago, and it looked very familiar to me. I started to remember some things, ( I don't remember too much about my childhood ) and then I remembered the last place I lived before moving and started searching around. I don't have any photos of then but, I have lots of now so thats what people will see. Maybe someone will remember me. Hey... does anyone remember ...Expand for more

Got stuck on a slide at the playground in the winter and my father had to come to the school and get me down. Surely someone remembers that one. I have two brothers who attended there as well, Grant & James Brown.
My first job was at drapery factory, where I got paid $3.65 to put pins back into dry cleaned drapes. What I remember most about it is Standing for 8 hours, 5 days a week.
