Lonney's Story
Life
Hello out there...this is my first foray into the cyber world of looking up old friends and class mates. We've come along way from those old 30lb. mechanical adding machines that our school had.
Any way here is a short bio just to get going.
After highschool I got a job right away with Kingston Spinners ,after six months they started me on as a millwright apprentice. After six months I quit and started on as an electrical apprentice with Ontario Hydro now Hydro One. ....ya baby good move.
Met a registered nurse from Hotel Dieu Hospital, Catherine Carey and married her in 83 ...still married and going strong . We are looking forward to getting rid of all of our kids so we can get away more.Three sons and a daughter all excellent specimens.I guess I did'nt damage enough cromozones .Did I spell that word right I never took biology.
Today I am a master electrician and I work for General Motors Oshawa as an electrical group leader.I have been with GM now for 23 anos, wow how time flies by.Actually Iam writing this bio from work.I have to repair computor based equipment and robots so I have internet access to help in my job.
It is really wonderful to scroll through the roster of Ernestown alumni and see so many names that I recognize.Hopefuly I will get some photos orgini...Expand for more
zed and load them.Feel free to get in touch.

School
My first year at Ernestown was very exciting.Coming from a 2-room school(Bayview)everything seemed big and new.I think my first crush was on Laura Radysh (not sure of spelling).Tall blonde athletic beautiful, way out of range of a poor boy from the 40foot***(side road). One of the teachers that really stood out was Wild Bill Burnette in my English class. He did not inspire me much intellectualy because my teenage mind was not developed enough to dig Sheakspere but I sure admired his muscles. The one teacher that inspired me the most was Fred Neuman,my electrical tech teacher.Iam a master electrician today and I owe it to him.
One of the moments that I wish I could go back on is the day I walked into Law class and I walked by Nancy Stover. She was wearing a short pleated skirt and a pair of sheer nylons .She was leaning way back in her chair and had her feet up on the desk.Talk about provocitive!I pretented not to ogle. When the teacher walked in he screamed at her to get her legs down(can't remember his name..Joe cool guy)...If I were to relive that day I would have walked over to Nancy and kissed her right on both knees. We probably both would have been kicked out for the day but good dicipline is priceless.
