Lora's Story
School
After High School, I moved up to Traverse City area. I went to school there, after a year and a half, I stopped attending school and worked full time. (My grades were OK, but I was placing more priority on work than school plus I was gearing up to get married) I married in 77, divorced in 94. I had 3 wonderful children who are now grown. My oldest (daughter, 1979) has a daughter of her own, (which means I am a grandma) and works and lives nearby. The second (daughter, 1983) lives with us, she just graduated with a bachelors in business and is working locally as a manager in training at a cafeteria style restuarant (Luby's). ght after high school, where he spent three years active duty, during which he attended Nuclear Power School and spent a year on a submarine prior to his current status as a college student. I have been blessed since 1994 with a wonderful relationship (friendship/marriage) with a great guy. We have more than we need, which comes in handy for spoiling that granddaughter. I have some regrets, for poor decisions made (not finishing college, staying in first marriage as long as I did). Life has been generous to me, both in challenges and good times. I learned a lot so far, and look forward to the years ahead. I volunteer at my Church a lot, I do not work outside the home at this point in my life and it is great.
