Lora's Story
Life
I am married and have two boys. The oldest - Austin is 19 and is a sophmore at Ball State in the PreMed program. Cameron is 17 and is a senior at ICA, also works at the bookstore over by AU. We will be traveling to Charlotte, NC later next week to tour Johnson & Wales University where Cameron will be looking at the Culinary Arts and Culinary Nutrition programs. He hopes this will go well. There is a big food and culinary festival in Charlotte at the time we will be there. It sounds like it will be alot of fun.
Workplace

polis, in the Cardiac/Vascular Surgical unit managing the day shift for all open heart surgery and vascular cases. Also, currently continuing my education in the medical field.
I returned to St. Vincent Hospital a little over a year ago. I am currently a Cardiac Transplant/VAD Coordinator. We stay very busy and are currently involved in a research study. We will be featured in the Indianapolis Paper next week (9/24) sometime regarding our project. We are told the TV stations will probably do some interviews. We have placed the first two VentrAssist devices in the state. These are in people who are on our listing waiting for a heart transplant and have met the criteria to have this device placed to assist the heart's fuction until the receive a heart.
