Loreen's Story
I recreated in charcoal the Leonardo Da'Vinci's praying hands on 16"X30" in Ms. Morrison Art Class and it was on display for a while in the glass case outside the library. This was taken by the principle thereafter to be hung in his office. Created another one for Mr. Vanstone then Guidance Counsellor. and then one last one for my parents; still treasured and displayed in a prominent spot by the entrance inside their house so many years later. same house s...Expand for more
ame spot....Pursued a different profession instead of Art.
Was new to Canada and very clearly Marco in my class making fun of the shoes I wore and the way we spoke. Not from Pakistan nor East Asia yet he called us Paki.... I wore my aunts shoes to school; it was what we could afford and I remember Marco, his sister and others in his clan making remarks and laughing at me. It remain a horrible part of my high school experience. Couldn't wait to leave it.
