Loren's Story
I struggled to swim the 25 yards required for graduation from M-A in 1961. At Stanford, I had a great swim coach named Myron Sprague--in whose class I learned to like doing swim workouts. Since then, I have tried to keep up with swimming and still do it at the YMCA at least three days per week. Recently retired from full-time work after 37 years of it. ), and have three adult children (a daughter & two sons) from my first marriage. School is a good thing, but so many of life's lessons must be learned by actually living life--with its many ups and downs. Have tried my best to survive, and am still "hanging in there." One of the interests that I developed while a student at M-A, amateur radio, has stayed with me all these years. I'm still a "ham" operator, and still enjoying it! Am living in San Jose.
