Life
I have been married since 1973 to my high school sweetheart, Steve McElmurry. We live in Georgia and have one daughter who is about to turn 20, whom we adopted at birth after nearly 17 years of marriage. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in January of 2005. ime in my spine, sternum, liver and in the pleural cavities of my lungs. My prognosis is not good, but I believe only God has the final say.
Update, 5/1/2010: the chemo I was on for 15 months has stopped working and I am starting a new protocol on 5/4, but at this point, we're just buying time. Thanks to everyone who has prayed for me and for my family, and to those who have been so encouraging. I appreciate all of you.
