I missed not being at St Hugh to finish 7th and 8th grades. I came back for the 70th anniversary. I didn't recognize too many people. Jerry Jonas, reporter for the intelligencer, often talks about St Hugh. I remember Sister Rose De Lourdes, who insisted we round our lips for the singing at the 9 o'clock Mass. My sister Dolores was named for her. I loved the May processions, when we sang and marched around the Church. It is so sad that the school has closed.
I was a stay at home Mom until my youngest graduated from High school. Went to work as a bookeeper and became a credit manager. I worked as a credit manager at Strawbridge & Clothier when i was 18 yrs old.I did the usual summer working at the New Jersey Shore. I also had a sportswear business and had my own private cosmetics label.
