Loretta's Story
Life
Now is the most important time in my life. I became a mother in Aug 02 to an amazing and curious boy. Prior to now and since high school, I went to University of Florida and got commissioned in the USAF--spent 7 yrs and left on a medical as a Captain. During my last three years in the USAF, I went to Harvard and spent the next several years writing the master's thesis. I went to Turkey for a year and met my husband, Joe, who was USAF working for NATO. Joe has since retired and we have stayed in Yorktown, Virginia where our lives revolve around our son, Brody.

Military
In 1992, I started out at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi MS for personnel officer training, then to my first permanent duty station Goodfellow in San Angelo TX. I then went to Lackland in San Antonio, where I started out as a personnelist and then did training development and analysis of the Air Force's basic training program. Last, I went to Hanscom in Bedford MA where I ran the base equal opportunity office and became deputy of the base commander's action group. In 1999, I was medically separated from the Air Force.
