Life
No longer a Goodie,goodie after college life,i got my BSN from University of virginia in 1985, married a graduate of UVA law sschool, moved to NH, worked in Nursing for 13 yrs, divorced in 1995, , remarried in 1999, applied and accepted in grad school to get a MS in human services and counselling from Springfield college, will graduate in 2 semesters. Have published poems.working on 2 books. published thesis paper on criminalization of mental illness. started "Voices of Change", doing systems advocacy for ppl with mental illness involved with police and the criminal justice system; will be applying to Antioch school in Keene,NH for going to get a Phd. everything and education was preparation for life. now education is life itself. Spirituality is a must in my life, and we live "one day at a time" Academics is still a priority and helping others. I did not know how to help the poor, needy, and homeless, until I became one. I knew not how to help the oppressed, until i became one. i have stayed away from reunions because of the reminder of severe trauma from my parents during teenage years,(long kept secret) that happened in my life during those years. My life is now dedicated to my immediate family-they know they are #1.i love helping others, especially those who have experienced trauma.the yr 2002 brings great rewards for "Voices of Change", the voices of the people.
