Lori's Story

Life My husband (we married in 02) & I live in East Cobb. I have been with For Rent Magazine as a Graphic Designer for over 7 years and my husband works as a Mechanical Engineer for the firm Newcomb and Boyd. I also spend my time doing some freelance design work like designing logos, cards and invitations. I have a second job as well, baking and decorating cakes out of my home w/ a small company called Sugar Bair. I am happy to be dancing again as well; I am a menber of a dance company in Atlanta called Refuge. I am eager to catch up with old friends! Please contact me! School School was tough for me-I never felt like I fit in and it didn't help that I was busy every night and weekend dancing and couldn't do many extra-curricular activities like going to games, or just hanging out with school friends. It was most convenient for my friends to be the ones I danced with. Bef). I did have fun in school-I wouldn't call it miserable, but I definately wouldn't do it again! College Brenau University holds a special place in my heart. I love that school-I actually miss my college days! Most of all, I just look back on them with great fondness. I had the best time there! The friends I met, the school traditions-everything! I may even miss the Gag a little! Workplace I love what I do-I consider myself very lucky to just happen upon my career like I did, actually have the talent to do it and really enjoy doing it! I always danced, so that consumed my life. Growing up, I only took 1 art class, but I always knew I loved art and had a flair for it. In college, I had to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. So in my Sophmore year, I dropped my dance major and went undecided to take some art classes to see if I enjoyed it. By my Junior year, I figured out what I wanted to pursue-Graphic Design. I completed my degree and here I am with a career in it and loving it!
