Lori's Story
Life
That's me with my 13yr(soon to be 14yr)old son. Can you see the resemblance? I have 3 kids;1 boy & 2 girls, and still no grey hairs.LOL. Leave me to my fantasy. I recently moved back from a 12yr hiatus in BC. What brought me back? Family & the need for real Maritime Lobster, not that faux Rock Lobster that they serve out West. Still writing poetry. Recently had it published on the web at poetry.com & although I can't afford to go to Florida to accept it, I was voted recipient of the award of Merit for Best New Poet. Disney World is still only a vacation place for Lottery winners...
...sigh. I have been reading Tarot for 5 and a half years, two of those years professionally. Not much else I can think of at the moment, except that I hope to reconnect with some of my "school" friends...since "old" doesn't really fit the bill yet! Ciao Bellas
Well let's update a little bit. I am now working once again in a Sears Portrait Studio in New Minas N.S. It was pretty good over the summer, but with the onset of November things are now starting to get kind of crazy. 10 hour days. Lots of screaming kids & a few more frantic parents than screaming kids. If I survive this Holiday Season I'll let you know. Still doing my tarot readings. It's begi...Expand for more
nning to pick up booking wise for people requesting them. I have some faithful clients and some who come in from the city...word of mouth is starting to spread my bio., so that's a plus in my favour. Hope everyone is well. I'll keep you posted should I win the 6/49 or Super7. Won the 50/50 at work last month though!*cackles quietly* Namaste for now.
Workplace
My work has always been intesting, in that I have dealt with many different forms of the public over the years throughout my "collage" of employment. The most memorable & my personal favorite has been the last two years until my move back to Nova Scotia, where I worked at an eclectic gift store as a Tarot Reader. I also had the opportunity to work as the store's lone clerk while the owner was away for three months. It was really appealing to have people come in and ask me if I was the owner. I learned alot about the business end of things in that time. Tarot however, remains my favorite job(part of a way of life). People; when thy come to a reader, are usually either curious...or at the end of their rope & are almost always grateful for a new perspective on things. I am still reading cards, but at the moment I am looking for a local business that is perhaps looking for a reader.
