Lori's Story
Life
I have a quiet little life and I wouldn't have it any other way. For years I was working full-time at a small advertising and design firm. By the time I left there, I was production manager for clearance flyers for the Newport News clothing company. By necessity, I learned some of the graphic side while I was there and found out that I liked that a lot more than what I was doing. I needed a break from the high stress of that job, so I'm currently using what I learned there to work from home doing some freelance graphic design. abandoned that track and held some odd jobs before getting the aforementioned job at the advertising agency. I haven't given up on the industry altogether, though. I've written a pilot for a kid's show that my father and I hope to produce in the not-so-distant future. On a personal note, I've been blissfully married to Mike Pitchford since 2002. If you had told me at graduation that, a few years down the road, Mike and I would cross paths again, fall in love, and get married, I probably would have fainted from disbelief, but that's what God had in the cards. It's just the two of us for now. Mike is a computer programmer (and an awesome one at that if you ask me) and we're still living here at the beach.
