Lori's Story
Life
After graduation...spent 1 year performing in Chicago, then moved to Atlanta, GA. Performed at Underground Atlanta and in various shows.
Met my first husband (divorced now), moved Nashville, TN in 1989 where I sang at a club called Silhouettes. Moved back to Atlanta in 1991. Sang all around the southeast including a short stint on a cruise line. Spent time in China. Moved to Las Vegas for a short time before moving back to Atlanta.
I Have an 12-year old son (Amazing that our kids get older and we don't!!!) Spent time writing and recording songs. For years I traveled around the southeast almost every weekend singing with my band Sha-Bang. I left them at the end of 2003 and started a duo in town - but that was cut short due to a car accident which left me with some permanent injuries.
I'm currently remarried to the most amazing man I've ever met. We've been married for almost 9 months. My son is going into 7th grade, is on the honor roll and in A/P classes. He's absolutely brilliant (would you expect anything less from me?), and completed his black belt in taekwondo and his red-tip belt in gumdo (the art of swords) and has already received several gold medals...Expand for more

Workplace
Highlights of my career include singing on a cruise ship for three weeks while enjoying the sights, singing with top "oldies" acts including, Percy Sledge, The Coasters, Troy Shondell, Bobby Lewis, Danny & the Junior and The Marvelettes. I also got to sing the National Anthem at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in March of 2002 in front of 40,000 people for the Nascar Time Trials. I love my career and no two shows are the same. I couldn't imagine doing anything else. I recorded a some songs that I wrote and I love when the audience sings along with something that came from my heart!!!
I've been working at an animal hospital in Marietta, GA since my separation from my ex-husband in '07 and I am grateful to have a job where I can also work with my two best friends. Currently, I'm in a musical "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown (my first one since high school) that I tried out due to my long-time friend Chris Sawyer telling me about the part. I tried out for the supporting role and ended up with the female lead (go figure). It's great being back into music. My husband backs me in my music and loves that I'm finally doing something for myself.
