Lori's Story
Life
I got married the first time in 1993. Divorced in 1996. Remarried a wonderful man in 1998, had our first child in 2000, second in 2004. Would like a third but can't afford daycare for 3. :) They are wonderful and I enjoy every minute of them.
Horses, of course. At one time I had 3. Down to one now. Had to put an old one to sleep in 2001, sold one when I got divorced. The one I had left I had raised from a 2 wk old baby, trained myself. boarding stable. Six horses ended up dead. It was devastating for me to loose him. Thought I had 20 years left with him. I cannot survive without a horse though, and already have another one.
To add to the misery of last fall, we had to put one of our dogs to sleep unexpectedly in November. He had an aggressive cancer that we did not find until it was too late. It was very hard on the kids. We also quickly got a new puppy to help the kids get over the other one.
My dad passed away on March 10, 2008 of liver cancer. It was the worst thing I've ever been through.
