My Spouse
Todd Israel Nosanow - we met in a group home for Severely Emotionally Disturbed Adolescents; now, after 21 years, we have 6 teenagers! Todd works as a Registered Addiction Specialist in a methadone clinic (heroin addicts).
My Pets
We have a 2 year old Rot, Jenna, 105 lbs of lap dog!, a Chow from the rescue society that stays under the radar, and three dachund-chihuahua mixes, the mom (Tink) and two of her pups (Tuffy and Cocoa). We alos have 5 cats: Yontiff, This, That, Akiva and Alice.
My Kids
In 2001 I wrote: We have six kids, Joan-14, Rachael-13, Rebecca-11, Leah-10, Jessica-8 and Adam-7. Joan just made the cheer squad at the HS she'll go to next year. emonic!!! 2006 = 6 teenagers (Joan=19, Rachael=18, ReBecca=17, Leah=15, Jessica=14, and Adam=13). Joan is at Santa Monica City, hoping for UCLA next fall, Rachael just graduated and is going to go to JC in Stockton, Becca is graduating this year, but came home from Israel last summer with some cyclical, undiagnosed health problems, she wants to go into Deaf Ed. Leah is my jock, volley ball now, softball and swim in the Spring. Jessi is a Freshman in HS (oh God). Adam's Bar Mitzvah is in April and then I'm DONE!!!
My Job
I'm the Chief of the Victim/Justice Section at the Governor's Office of Emergency Services. In addition to responding to disasters, we give grants to public safety and victim service projects in California. I have a unit of 5 people and oversee the Violence AGainst Women and Children's Justice Act funds.
