Lori's Story
Life
Aloha--My husband Dave and I moved from the San Francisco Bay Area to Hawaii in 2002 and love the island lifestyle. I'm still very involved in music and sing in the Hawaii Vocal Arts Ensemble. I'm also into windsurfing, surfing, kayaking, and hiking--it great to enjoy the outdoor lifestyle year-round (and I don't miss wearing a wetsuit while windsurfing in the cold, murky San Francisco Bay). ones. I've been working in non-profit fundraising for the last 15 years, mostly in the arts and higher education, including 6 years at the San Francisco Symphony. I'm currently Director of Philanthropy for The Nature Conservancy's Hawaii & Palmyra programs, and love helping to save our unique and threatened natural resources. Life is good in the islands and, although there are things I miss about the Bay Area, I feel very lucky to live in Hawaii. A hui hou, Lori
