Lori's Story
Life
The short version: got married in 2000, divorced in 2003, moved to Atlanta in 2004. Engaged to my best friend - getting married in November '08.
Workplace
My work has mostly been in academia/ nonprofit programs.
I started teaching shortly after getting my bachelor's from Rollins. I taught high school students at several alternative schools, then started working at an Upward Bound Program a...Expand for more

I moved to Atlanta in 2004 and worked for a year at Hands On Atlanta where I managed volunteers for Atlanta Public Schools and Head Start Programs. I missed working in a university setting, so I was lucky to get a position literally across the street at Georgia Tech in 2005.
I love working at Georgia Tech, and my department (Physics) is almost like family to me.
