Lori's Story
Life
Well, I have 4 kids,6 grandsons. We were active duty military for 15 years and my husband is still in the reserves and was activated in 2003.We don't know when he will be deactivated, the Army hasn't made up their mind yet. We are once again stationed at Ft Carson, Co, although we are being sent to Ft. Bliss, Texas in March, 2008.I enjoy doing things with my hands and sometimes try to sell the things I make. Sometimes I even miss being in school! lol. Update... Now in Texas and hating the weather and bugs. We often find scorpions in the garage and 1 in the house, yuck!...Steve is still in Texas, but we have bought a house in Parowan, Utah and I am noww living there and waiting for Steve. Steve has now retired from the Army with 28 years. Steve is working on the front runner trains for UTA and we r temperarily living in salt lake.

School
Even though I didn't have alot of friends in high school, I had friends in each of the different groups..."jocks, nerds, hippies, church goers and even a few cowboys". I...Expand for more
sometimes wish I could go back and do it again, but who wants to live through all the zits, uncertainty and homework again...lol
College
Went to college for awhile, but health problems forced me to quit. I wanted to be an accountant and specialize in taxes. I went to Salt Lake Community College in Utah and Blair Jr College in Colorado Springs, CO.
Workplace
For 5 years I was working at Christmas with the Salvation Army as a driver and in the acoounting office. Before that I mostly worked as a cook, waitress, cocktail waitress or bartender. Of course the weirdest job I ever had was sewing costumes for strippers when I was in my early 20's.
Military
I never offically served in the Army, but I put in my fair share of time and work while my husband was in the Army. I taught classes, made cakes for the single guys' birthdays, crocheted and sewed for new parents, organized parties, bake sales and much more. Never a dull moment! Now we are a reserve family that has been activated. Our life is always changing.. Now retired...its soooo quiet,lol..
