Life I served in the Air Force from 1998-2002. I'm now a stay at home mom to my three beautiful children: Crystal Rose, born December 21, 1999; Emily Pauline, born June 6, 2002; and Andrew-Jason Walker, born December 17, 2004. Life is pretty busy, as I am homeschooling Crystal and Emily. My husband is serving his second enlistment in the Air Force, and we're currently stationed at Barksdale AFB, Louisiana. School My oldest child, Crystal, was diagnosed with type one diabetes 3 weeks after her third birthday. This was while my husband was stationed on the other side of the world, and I was alone with Crytal and six month old Emily. Only then, in the face of life-changing adversity, did I realize I had to loosen up and relax. That may sound crazy, but it was either that or go insane! My life has totally changed since then. I wish I had made that miraculous progress years sooner. I spent my high school days in a cocoon, and I regret that.
