Life
After leaving high school, I escaped the party life and cold weather of NY by going to college in Virginia. I missed the former, but probably benefited by having less of it. I am still here after 30 years. I think things have worked out well here, but it certainly was, and sometimes still is, culture shock. Dad just gave up his apartment in Manhattan to move to Atlanta. I miss NY but have made VA my home. The climate is more suitable.
Life is good at the moment. The children are away at college/grad school, the husband went packing a few years ago and I am having a nice time traveling, working, etc. Hope to go to NY for the Oct reunion. An odd year, though, I think.
