Loriel's Story
Life
After I graduated from Mizzou, I worked for Coopers & Lybrand in St. Louis for almost 3 years. I then moved to Columbia and worked for a sole practitioner CPA for 5 1/2 years. I finally got out of public accounting (and had time to study for and passed the CPA exam). I worked for Midway Arms in Columbia, MO for about 8 years. I met my current husband on eharmony.com and moved to Tucson, AZ. I worked for almost a year, then decided to de-stress and take care of my health at home (I became diabetic about 1999). As a result of de-stressing, I was blessed with a child. Jim and I have been married almost 5 years. He is in the Army National Guard and serving our country in Iraq. We have a daughter, Faith, born 6/26/04 -- she's a joy and a beauty, but also a handful. I'm sure it doesn't help that I am over 40 as a first time mom. I also have a son from Jim's first marriage whom we only see on weekends or vacations. He also lives in Tucson, but with his mother on the other side of town. Yes, I have pets -- cats. any other kind of pet. I currently have 2 indoor cats (2nd generation Bobcat/domestic cat mix)...and an undertermined amount of outdoor cats that adopted our property 2 1/2 acres of desert. I have had 3 other indoor cats, but they have all gone to pet heaven. When Jim returns, we are considering a relocation, but we are not sure where the Lord may lead us...Well, Jim returned from Iraq and we moved to El Paso, TX. We are living in a real neighborhood at the base of the Franklin Mountains (North Hills) and we are close to civilazation (shopping, Army post, Faith's preschool), so Faith and I are enjoying it. Jim is still working for the Army training soldiers who are preparing to go to Iraq, so he is working some long hours. But, at least we get to see him more. It's been a blessing. Here we go again, Jim is training for another deployment to Iraq. This time he is with the Stryker brigade out of Pennsylvania. He is in the states training, but will be going to Iraq in 2009. Faith and I are staying in El Paso until his return. Then, we don't know where the Lord will lead us.
