Lorraine's Story
Life
At age 40 I have one beautiful son, moved to several states for career, and have actually had my natural hair color for almost 18 years.
I completed my Secondary Education Degree in History and Language Arts December 2004. 2006-2007 I taught U.S. History, Consumer Education and Technology at an alternative High School in Chicago. 2007-Present I have been teaching 7th-8th Grade Social Sciences for CPS on the far southside.
For the past 18 years I have worked in Higher Education and plan to utilize the experience and knowledge to educate others.
Kind of boring stuff but for those of you who knew me in High School, pretty amazing.
I have been in touch with some of the greatest classmates I've ever had, Chappell Class of 1983. It is amazing how much time has passed and yet the wonderful nature of these friends remains.
I have recently began yoga and now am hooked! This is one of the best forms of physical activity I've encountered. If you haven't tried it, it's never too late.

een in a CPS High School since graduation, it is like night and day. Things that we never dare do is now done. Soda machines in the hallways, closed campus lunches, metal detectors at front doors, and an average of 6 security personnel on the floors as apposed to the one Officer Frick who sat at the front door.
On a sad note, my wonderful cat of almost 21 years, Arrakis passed away September 30, 2004. She died peacefully at home.
We finally got a new beautiful kitten in September of 2007. Her name is Joon and she is the princess of the house. Joon received a playmate in June of 2009/ We have named him Darwin. He is a Siamese mix and very bad.
Another sad note, my Dearest Grandfather George Allen Bell passed away at the end of June 2005.
Final sad note happened in June of 1997, my Dearest Uncle Chris Bell died at the age of 30. I am still not quite over it. It was a shock, horror and sadness that never goes away. It is difficult to accept that this upcoming June will make 12 years since I have spent time with him.
