Lorraine's Story
Hi Uniondale HS alumni and St Martha's survivors. I haven't stayed in touch with anyone in years. I moved to Virginia in 1991 and then in 2001, I moved to Southern California. We moved to Virginia out of choice and better schools.. I raised my family outside of Richmond and I love that state. We then moved to California due to a promotional position for my husband's career. I live near the beach in the OC and it's quite beautiful here, however, I do miss the east coast terribly.
I am very happily married for over 40 years. I have three adult children. My oldest daughter is an RN in Phoenix, AZ. My daughter, Sharon, is an Attorney here and my son works in management associated with Tesla I have 3 adorable Grandchildren (11, 10, & 5.)
My Mom who worked in the Uniondale School System retired and lived in East Meadow but passed away 3 years ago. One brother (Tommmy) passed away about 8 years ago. My youngest brother lives in N. Massapequa. Due to missing my Mom and Covid, I haven’t traveled back to NY sine 2019 wh my Mom passed away. My Dad passed away 45 y...Expand for more

I would love to go to a reunion (especially a St Martha's reunion). I recently joined this site and I am finally on Facebook.
If anyone knows anything about Renee Graziano, could you pass the word that I've been trying to find her for years . We were such close friends for so many years and we lost touch with each other. I would love to catch up with her and see how she is doing. I’m also hoping one day to find Bobby Hansen. He graduated a year before me in St. Martha’s. They were a large family who lived directly behind us. I lived on Maple Ave. I think the Haden’s lived on Newport Ave. .
It is funny, I was driving from VA to NY to visit my family and I read a bumper sticker reading "I survived Catholic School" Boy, I wanted that sticker. I wonder how many of us that went to St. Martha's can relate to that feeling?
Well, that is my update for now. If anyone out there wants to connect, please do.
Hope all my past classmates are doing well and are happy. Happy New Year!
Take care! Thanks for reading my story.
Sincerely
Lorraine Carey Nespeca
