Lorrie's Story
Life
After graduating from Bishop Amat I went to work full time right away but realized early on that I needed to continue my education...did so at a junior college then to a major university extension program so I could continue working while getting my degree. I took a year off to model professionally doing print ads and commercials for some impressive major companies. Since that time, I have been an Accountant specializing in the Interior Design/Construction field and for the past two years have shifted into the financial side of corporate event planning. I've been in the Covina area for the past 17 or so years with my two cocker spaniels and my fluffy yellow cat. I always enjoy driving my red convertible mustang! Never married and no children of my own. However, I am the proud aunt to my 19 year old nephew Jeremy who is in the Air Force now and stationed in Guam and my 14 year old niece Jessica who lives in Rancho Cucamonga...both are definitely the "J O Y" in my life.
A group of us from elementary school and high school have been keeping in touch over the past 20 or so years. We get together a couple of times a year to shoot pool, birthday celebrations and just to catch up on things. It's great!
Fun stuff ...Expand for more
for me: I am a dolphin fanatic, love the beach or aquatic stuff, skating, rollerblading, bike riding, parasailing, snorkeling, swimming with the dolphins in Puerta Vallarta, sailing, movies, water sports, bunjee jumped 17 stories, saw the Easter sunrise from a hot air balloon with my niece and nephew...I love the car races and boxing, dinners, and "shopping" of course!
Some things on my TO DO list: white water rafting, race car driving school and I'd like to attend a live pro boxing fight, and wherever the adventure takes me!
I would love to hear from anyone from Bishop Amat. It was a terrific school, a great education and a warm place filled with lots of quality people and friendships! Of course, I am a bit partial to the Class of 1981!
LOST TOUCH AND ESPECIALLY SEARCHING FOR: My dearest and truest guy pal Larry Plavala. I miss you so much my friend! I owe you my life! Please let our paths cross again very soon!
I'd also like to send a special note to Dave Pardo (brother of Terri Pardo)who was my "Valentine's Day Secret Admirer" for my high school years. I don't know that I ever said Thanks-Many thanks! I think every teenage girl dreams of a "Secret Admirer"! Thanks for being mine!
