Louis's Story
Life
I left Airline at the end of my junior
year to move to Wichita, KS / Mc Connell
AFB. I graduated Derby Senior High
School in 72 and immediatly moved to
Guam after graduation where Dad had been transfered. I
attended the University of Guam for two
years and transferred to the University
of Texas @ Austin where I graduated with
A BS in RTF in 76. While in Guam I
earned my PADI Divemaster as well as
worked as a lifeguard on Anderson AFB at
Tarauge Beach, the base pool and the O
Club pool. I carried 15 hours + at
school.
I worked out of Dallas until 1979 doing
make-p and hair for films and photo
shoots. In 1979 I moved to New York and
have been here since. I did fairly
well, had a good agent and some
intresting credits.
In the Mid 80"s the advertising industry
experienced sever acquistations an
mergers very common through out the 80"s
and budget...Expand for more
s were cut. I started to work
for Paragon Sporting goods as running
the dive department and worked my way up
to merchandise manager. I was recruited
by a textile company and started to work
in thr textile industry in 1991.
Today I still work in the textile
industry specializing in industrial and
medical fabrics. The company is family
owned and based in the USA / upstate NY>
I married Leslie Foster from Norfolk, VA
in 1990, Alice Chelsea was born in 1992.
She is a great kid, has me wrapped
around her little finger, attends the
United Nations International School and
is very active.
I would welcome hearing from any
classmates from Airline and Derby. Although I did
not graduate from Airline and loved
Derby and Kansas I have many special
memories of football, Boy Scouts and
PYOC the of the kids I grew up with.
