Lourdes's Story
So it'll really be 30 years soon, huh? Hard to believe.
The quick and dirty of where I am is: living in Washington, working as a special educator in Portland,OR. One son, Paul - 20 next month.
Life/God is good and I can't complain. Hope all you folks have been able to find happiness most days. take care, Lourdes
EWWW, ok, i guess they have little story prompts we can write about. Not knowing about surprises I could share with folks, as I'm just who I am.
The teacher I'd most want to see would be Mrs. Brittain or Sister Jane, if my memory hasn't left me. Oh yeah, don't let me forget Ms. Nardone, turned Dr. Nardone- SHE is a brilliant woman!
My first crush....I still love him. He's around peripherally, happily married. And I'm happy for him - couldn't have turned out better.
Gosh, the wildest, stupidest thing i ever did in school was in college. I was fool enough to try and steal liquor from one of our dances, and got caught along with my friends. Stupid things you do cause of peer pressure.
hhhmmmm...how ...Expand for more
would i like my friends to remember me? silver-tongued; having a way with words. i don't think i've ever been short on saying my opinion or speaking out. thank goodness i've been able to add some tact!
Happiness is....being able to be where you are, and knowing that know matter how things turn out, you still have you, and YOU is what got you in and out of all those situations, and you is what'll, time and again, get you through. It's really important to know and like yourself; at least, most days.
My biggest surprise in life has been that i could raise my child, as a single parent, and that we didn't lose the love. it was hard, couldn't have done' it without my family. I send out all proper respect to those who stepped up to do their best by their kids, single OR married. No, parenting definitely did not come with a manual.
So i pretty well lived in Rahway most of my life, except for a brief stint in Trenton, finally move out to Portland, OR in 2000. Truly, tho, home is where the heart is - it isn't just a place.
