Luann's Story
After graduating from JM in 1973 I attended WVU majoring in Animal Science (Pre-veterinary medicine). I didn't go on for my vet degree because of my low grades in chemistry. But guess what....I'm now a chemist!!! Right out of college I worked at Mobay Chemical in New Martinsville, WV with a construction subcontractor. In 1981 I moved to Charleston WV for six months and worked for WV Air Pollution Control Commission. nd Management in 1995. I got married in 1995 to a pHD chemist from Bayer, aka Mobay. I was transferred to Bayer's Pittsburgh site in 2003 and am currently working as a senior technical specialist in the Industrial Hygiene laboratory.
I have no children but do have a 15 year old niece who, this year, became the first female ice hockey goalie on JM's JV boys team.
I always said that I'd either make money by being a vet or pay a vet a lot of money. I ended up doing the later. Currently I have two dogs and ??? cats. I live in Bethlehem, about two miles from where I grew up.
