Lucy's Story
Life
I had cancer in High School so please correct me or add to my story - I won't mind as my senior year is a bit blurred. Art is still a passion and Mr Mena still my hero, he was a fantastic teacher and I appreciate the experience he gave me of working in Annual Staff. I was art editor my Senior Year and designed the cover and division pages and drew those silly cartoons (1964 school yearbook) My current artwork is displayed on Facebook. My brother's were Roman Felix and Mark Felix and my cousins are Danny Gutierrez and Andy Gutierrez. I've kept in touch with Rita Escalante and her brother Frank. Wish I could see Sharon Short and Lettie Kinsey. I was pretty clumsy in High School and remember laughing my head off with "Chesty Chester" when we tried out for cheer leading. She moved away in her Sophomore year which was such a bummer for me - ...Expand for more
no more swimming and lavish jewish buffets. Henry Olias and I went to the Junior Prom together. That was a flop because we hardly spoke to each other during school and he made fun of my kleenex stuffed bra. Kenny Feistel carried my books once when I sliced open my foot on a piece of glass at the beach and had to use crutches to get around campus. Some might remember me singing "Angel Baby" in the school auditorium with the "Caravans". Mike Dollins was the lead guitarist and my first crush. Mike and I still keep in touch through Facebook. I just recently battled Cancer again and won. Life has been full of tragedies, grief and sorrow but also unspeakable joy, fun, exciting times and laughter. I am currently married to a wonderfully funny guy. We enjoy living at the beach, walking on the sea shore in the mornings with our labrador "Herchel.
