Lyle's Story
Life
I am married, for the second time (Imagine that!). I have three children, a nine year old son from the first marriage, Lyle Jr., we call him Joseph (middle name). A four year old daughter, Morgan Grace and a two year old son, Lawson David.
School
I'd rather not embarass myself by responding to some of these. However, Mrs. Massey was definitely the teacher that inspired me most, very positive and supportive. I would do it all over again, it would be nice to have known then what I know now though. I did a lot of stupid things "back in the day". Sports was the most fun, friends were the happiest, and probably me actually graduating was the craziest!
Workplace

I got a job offer back home in 1993 with the Lee County Sheriff's Office and started there in August of that year as a jailer. I went to the police academy in 1995 and became a patrol deputy. I have worked my way up through the ranks Deputy, Corporal, Sergeant, Lieutenant, and am now a Captain and a shift supervisor. (Who would have ever thought that!!!!!) I also worked as a juvenile officer, narcotics investigator, and criminal investigator.
I love the job and really don't see myself doing anything else. I have been in countless car chases, foot pursuits, fights, you name it. I wrecked my car last year in a pursuit, car vs. utility pole, utility pole won! I also got dragged down the road on U.S. 19 earlier this year, road rash took on a whole new meaning for me.
Oh, well I could go on and on about that stuff.
