I was married at 17 and started a family. I had my first born, Christina, November 18, 1976. By the time I was 18. I had only needed one class to graduate from high school, but did not take it in my senior year. Due to a deathly illness in my family, I dropped out my senior year. My son, Daniel, was born on Sept. 27,1 982, and then I went back to school and got my high school diploma at Tracy Adult School. My mom died right after I received the news that I was getting the scholarship that they offered.
