I was not at AHS for very long in my Freshman year (went to Ft.Bragg, CA Jr. High for end of Freshmen year. Sophmore year I returned to AHS, but was working a split-shift ontop of taking my history class (Mr. Robinson)in period 1.a (before school to pick-up assignments). I worked during my Sophomore year to help my mom buy my clothes at Woodstock Child Care Center down past Webster & at Alameda College Pre-School also. Work and play kept me very busy. I somehow managed to graduate with 1 guy that also had 210 credits in January74! I did come back for the cap and gown ceremony for my mother's sake. She asked me to do it for her. I was working at NAS after my mother a major surgery. Right after the cap&gown ceremony Maureen Mills & I took off for WA & stayed with my dad & his horse. Then Maureen convinced me (didn't take much) to "come on up to B.C." I roomed with Maureen & her cuz Barb while working as an AuPair/babysitter. Goodness, did we ever have a great time and a big going away party right up til I boarded the plane to return home to applie for immigration status. They wouldn't have me. LOL!Worked in BofA building for awhile for an insurance brokerage. Then I learned to weld (oxy-aceteline, innershield, & ARC), taught welding at 21yrs old. Was accepted into the Pipefitters Union, declined since I had already found a job I loved Journey level Electro-Mechanical Field Engineer (glorified grease monkey)for 3 companies until they did not come thru with territory & promises made when I was hired, and one Co. had problems getting parts. One territory I worked alone was the U.C. Berkeley Campus (BEAUTIFUL). I wasn't to thrilled about the sodas...Expand for more
