Lynette's Story
I remember South otter well. It was the year I spent with my grandparents ( Shatfords ) on the farm. I learned how to ride a horse and got brave enough to walk past the geese. We skated on frozen ponds in the fields with skates that I got for Christmas. Heather & Sandy and I picked strawberries all summer and I bought a bike with the money that I earned . I was voted May Queen for South Otter and Maid of...Expand for more
Honor for the community. I got to ride on the float in the May Day parade . I remember such great friends...Diana, Marie, Ellen . We would walk that mile to and from school together. It was awesome. I lost all my photo's that were taken in this amazing year. The album went missing during a family move. If anyone has class photo's from 1962/63 of South Otter I would love to see them.
