Lynn's Story
School
I came to Outremont High from St. Mary Magdalen school in Outremont. Some of the friends that came with me were Carmen Kaps, Debbie Brown, Judy Ford, Stephen Clendinneng, Robert Loudon, George Deligeorge, Lynn Harriet, Peter Czinkan, Christine Bartali, Louise Balzamo, Denise Delorme, Michel Delorme & Walter Okshevsky. I'll add more as I remember them.
When I got there I met Sheldon Wiseman who became my boyfriend and Steve Small who was a precious friend. My best friends were Sylvia Ouanounou from Strathcona Academy, Donna Kozak and Carmen Kaps. I hung out with Marcus Herman, Bela Kardos, Harvey Kuchinsky and Harvey's sister Fran. Our favourite hang-out was Pare Lanes on Decarie where we went bowling and played pool and table soccer. We often met up with Rose Assaraf and Brent Patch there.
Another favourite hang-out was Pendeli's Pizza on Van Horne street, but I don't remember what corner it...Expand for more
was on. I can picture it, though!
An annual ritual was to "juke" (take off school) on the first warm days of spring and head for "the mountain" (Mount Royal) to enjoy the warm weather and take in Montreal's skyline from the chalet at the top.

College
I went back to school when I was 37 and graduated with Honours from Canadore College in North Bay, Ontario in 1994. My field of study was Graphic Communications. I couldn't wait for the first day of school because I actually didn't know what Graphic Communications was (not really, anyway) and needed to get there to find out! As it turns out, it was fantastic. It enabled me to become self-employed for awhile. One day, I worked a 24-hour shift (one of many) and to my great embarrassment, woke up at my desk to find my friends (different company, same building) all staring at me through my window and laughing their little hearts out!
