Lynn's Story

Life Hi! Wow time sure has flown by! I have been married for over 35years to a great guy that I met after I moved to Vermont in '74. I spent one year in Miami at college, then moved to Vermont where my parents moved in 1973 right after graduation. My husband is an electrical lineman. We have one son who is 33 and living in MA. He is a tattoo artist in Cambridge, MA. He has a beautiful daughter who is almost 8 going on 18. For 22 years I was a merchandise manager for JCPenney, was downsized, then I had a small home day care for 22 years and loved it. I am retired and loving it We bought an older home (over 100 years old) when we got married and have been remodeling or repairing ever since. Luckily my husband used to be a carpenter!! My husband, Jay, is still into motorcycles, his current bike is a BMW and we like to tour around New England. We went to California on his old Suzuki for our honeymoon and he and my son went to Glacier a few years ago. We, also, follow NASCAR and have been to several races with Jamie (class of '73) and Peggy Ann Garrison Dimaggio (class of '75). We have fallen in love with South Carolina and are thinkin...Expand for more
g of retiring down there. I love flower gardening and still love the 'shore'. Interests. I am into genealogy, gardening, computer games (one of my vices!), voodoo hoodoo (essential oils and crystals) and I still love to read. I have recently begun meditating and my next goal is to start a yoga class after I retire. My favorite spot is still the ocean, one of the downsides of living in Vermont! That and the cold....we plan to retire to somewhere warm! School My favorite teachers were Mr. Crosby and Mr. Hartz. Mr. Crosby even made Shakespeare fun! I was horrible in Math and Chemistry, loved English and History. Looking back, I regret that I never got involved in more things and made more lasting friendships while at Steinert, but hindsight is better than foresight and one learns as one gets older. College I went off to Miami for a year of Retailing/Merchandising courses. Miami is a better place to vacation than it is to live in!!! Memories of my school years Skipping sewing first period almost every day in my senior year...I never did finish ONE thing! The shore. Boone's Farm. Langtree. The Bahamas. Ugly gym suits. Mean girls.
