Lynn's Story
Life
I'm not in the best of health today, beginning to have respertory problems. My father and brother both had similar problems in later life, probably due to things we were exposed to on the farm.
I left the farm soon after graduating from RHS and getting married. I worked in canning factory, drove a wholesale milk truck delivering milk to the stores in Rushville, took a job selling "Lance Products" over central Indiana from Shelbyville. Took a job with a restaurant supply company in Richmond Indiana, selling everything from napkins to canned goods to Maxwell House Coffee. I accepted an early retirement from General Motors in 1993 after 29 years in salaried personnel. Judy and I continued to live and work in Anderson. I managed the family farm, and Judy worked as a pharmacy technician until she retired in 2002.
I sold the family farm where I grew up in 2008. This was a very big deal to me as I was the third generation to live and work on that farm. We bought a house in Rushville and moved from Anderson to be with friends and closer to Judy's family. Today I keep myself busy running our household taking care of Judy since she lost her sight.
