Lynn's Story
Life
Worked in the airline industry for 24 years. First, with Trans Texas Airways/Texas International Airlines/Continental Airlines in Houston and Longview, Texas. Then, with American Airlines, at their worldwide headquarters in New York City and Dallas, Texas. Took an early retirement from American Airlines and my husband and I moved to Lake Oswego and later to Salem, Oregon. While living in the Pacific northwest, I studied horticulture and eventually earned certification as a Certified Nursery Person for the State of Oregon. Worked in the nursery industry for 6 years. After eight years in the beautiful Pacific northwest, we decided that we wanted to be Texans again and relocated to South Padre Island, TX, a barrier reef island, off the coast of far south Texas. and, Merrill, passed away on September 1. 2011. Life is not the same without him, but life goes on and I'm doing well.
Workplace
Was employed, in the airline industry, during the years 1966 through 1988. First, with Trans Texas Airways/Texas International/Continental Airlines, in Houston and Longview, Texas and then with American Airlines, at their worldwide headquarters, in New York City and Dallas, TX. Took an early retirment, from American Airlines, in 1988 and moved to the Pacific Northwest where I studied horticulture. Worked at a large commercial nursery, in Salem, OR. Decided that we wanted to be a Texans again, and relocated to a barrier reef Island off of the coast of Texas/Mexico and enjoy working, part-time, at an Interior Design Studio, on South Padre Island, TX.
