Lynn's Story
Life
Retired U.S. Navy (1995)
Currently: Serving as pastor at the Shepherd of the Valley United Methodist Church in Indio, CA, 92201
College
It took me twenty years to finish my undergraduate degree in Sociology. I was stationed so many places while in the Navy, it was difficult to finish a program. When I finally graduated, I had enough credits for two degrees!
My Master's in Divinity was a piece of cake!

completed a Ph.D. in Human Services.
Work
After retiring from the Navy in 1995 (Health Care Practitioner) I went to seminary and became a minister. I served one church in Buffalo, NY and one church in Rochester, NY before taking a leave of absence to attend school. I served two small churches in the high desert of southern California, and one church in the college town of Redlands, before being appointed to my current church.
