Lynnette's Story
I can’t believe 53 years have come and gone so fast. After High School I worked at FairChild Semi conductor and components Company in Kearney Mesa. I loved my job there. In December of 1969 my dad passed away and my mom decided to move to Missouri. I got married in April 1970 and moved to Charleston South Carolina. We were there until 1972 and transferred to San Diego. My husband was in the Navy for 7 1/2 years when he got out in 76. . I had two miscarriages loosing a girl and then twin boys. We had our first son in November 1974. We then moved to Missouri for his job, . We have been on the move ever since, 41 times to be exact. I have to say it hasn’t been dull by any means. While in Arizona we had our second son in 1980. All in all it’s been an adventure. My sons got to see and experience many things and meet people from many walks of life. When I first moved to Missouri (before I got married it’s been 54 years now.)I went to work for a modeling agency. I modeled clothing for petites and was a model for A make up company and was a flight attendant...Expand for more
. I really enjoyed it a lot even though it was short lived. My oldest son was a manager for a rental company in Las Vegas until he passed away in 2001 he passed from heart failure . He was married and had a stepson. My youngest son is an IT Engineer for UPS. He’s divorced and has a 12 year old daughter in 7 th grade. She’s a great kid and so proud of her. She’s in advanced classes and honor roll in school since she started. I was studying to be a paralegal while we were in Illinois, but when my son passed away I lost interest. I was more than half way through the course at ASU on line. My life kind of turned upside down at that point. My youngest son fell 45 feet in 2006 and broke his back, a burst fracture. 15 surgeries later he is still in a lot of pain. He’s now divorced and raising his daughter by himself. I hope everyone is enjoying life and retirement. I was saddened by seeing the loss of so many people from our class and others on the memorial page for Madison. So sad.
I hope all of you are staying well and happy even through this crazy pandemic.
