Lynnette's Story
Life
After graduation, I moved to Eugene, OR for a year. I missed my friends and sunny SD, so I moved back. I worked full time in retail while going to Grossmont College and then SDSU, moving from place to place all over SD - La Mesa, El Cajon, Lakeside (again), College area, and finally OB. I graduated from SDSU in 97 and entered the BCLAD international credential program, which took me to Mexico City. While there, I met Joaquin Garcia, who is now my husband! After living 10 months in MEX, I moved back to Oregon to live off my parents again while I job hunted. I ended up substiting for 3 years in Springfield and Eu...Expand for more
gene school districts, so that I would have a lot of free time to visit MEX. I got married in 2002. We had a big wedding and a charreada (mexican rodeo), here in Mexico. Now I live in Coyoacan, an area in the south of the city (Frida lived here) and I teach in an English school, along with giving private English lessons in my house. We have a daughter named Matilda -born 8/28/05 and a golden retriever named Chuck. We usually stay summer and fall with my parents in Springfield, OR and the rest of the year here in DF.
