M's Story
Update 4/19/2010.
I have started a web based company, of course it has to do with automobiles. Southeast wheels events can be found with a search, I have begun to put my past articles and stories into my blog. I am also writing new ones all true "given a lie or two" covering my automotive adventures, Confessions of a Motorhead. This year I am also promoting car shows. hopefully establishing a new signature event, The Concours d'Elegance at Road Atlanta in June.
Life
As many of you know I was slightly involved with cars. I went on to be a Master Mechanic, an Engineer, and and owned several automotive business's. I eventually achieved what I was after all along to be a professional race car driver. Wow make money from racing? I am still an active and competitive racer and I teach many up and coming racers. I have been married to my wife Karyn since 1976. We somehow managed to raise 8 children and now are well into being grand...Expand for more
parents. We lived in Berkeley California for 20 years and in 2002 moved to Cumming Georgia, just outside of Atlanta To be with some of the kids that had moved to the area. I tried to retire in 2002 but that was short lived. I returned to racing in 2005 getting involved with NASA South East as an Instructor and mentor and then joining the Porsche team in 2006. After I left Porsche racing in 2007 I started a restoration of a 1956 "survivor" Thunderbird and continued doing promotions for the National Auto Sport Association, (NASA). As a result of the Tbird winning every show entered I am now very backed up with people that want me to build them a hot rod or restore their classic car. After Doing an article this last year for Grassroots Motorsports Magazine I am back to wrighting and taking pictures. If that is not enough I am now involved in building a new Road Racing Track here in Northern Georgia. Atlanta Motorsoprts Park.
