War Funding Bill Passes
It was by a narrow margin but the Senate passed the controversial bill aimed at defying the White House.
This all comes only two weeks after the government's extending deployments for all active duty soldiers by three more months. News that came as a shock not only to the soldiers, but those left here at home.
We spoke with one Fort Carson soldier's wife who stands by the troops mission, and supports the President but after five deployments, she's reached a breaking point.
"It was a big blow to us on the news that night," said Mackenzie Pidgeon, wife of Staff Sergeant Jeremy Pidgeon.

ould be staying in the warzone for 3 more months while watching TV.
"I don't even think the guys knew about it and I think they were all notified that same time we were, on national news," She said.
She says she can handle the extra time away, her husband has deployed five times in the last six years, including three tours to Iraq but she's not sure how much more her family can take.
"The extension and the way the government handed it to them on a plate, I think he may just want to get out," Mackenzie said.
And yet she feels the troops are doing a lot of good in Iraq and does not agree with pulling them out all at once.
"We tend to focus on the negative more than we do the positive of whatÂs going on and in that regard they are doing the right thing and I think staying over there would be wise," She said.
And while it's hard being at home alone raising two kids, the Pidgeon family is getting by one day at time.
"I respect my husband and I respect what they are doing over there," Mackenzie said.
The President is likely to veto the bill the first part of next week, four years after giving his famous speech that the mission in Iraq had been accomplished.
