Malcolm's Story
Life
Briefly, I went to Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ, where I learned how to study, play soccer, and how not to drink-not necessarily in that order. I Majored in Biology and went on to study Dentistry at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. I interned at the Bunker Hill/MGH in General Dentistry, 1971. I practiced Dentistry in NYC and taught in a General Practice Residency program at Beth Israel Medical Center for 11 years before moving to Saudi Arabia with the Arabian American Oil Company in Dhahran in 1982. In Dhahran , I served as a General Dentist, soccer player, coach, and referee, musician and music teacher, cumbia, merengue, and salsa aficionado, Senior General Dentist, and Chief of Dhahran Dental Services from 1995 until my retirement in 2000. na Avila, a beautiful latina from Honduras, in 1975, and thus, I finally did have to learn some Spanish! We have 3 children, 3 grandchildren. I'm back in the US now and living outside Houston. I took a year off out of sheer laziness, and then returned to clinical dentistry, which I find I still enjoy. I have done church-based missionary work in dentistry in Honduras, the Dominican Republic, and Mexico, and look forward to doing more in future. My present interests include cycling, rowing, and running for fitness, and learning some Portuguese should I decide to attend the World Cup in 2014.
I am looking forward to the 50 Year Glastonbury High School Class of '62 Reunion in June. How shortly ago it seems when we all sang "Climb Every Mountain" and "You'll Never Walk Alone." together.
