Malcolm's Story

Life Married. 3 kids grown up. Worked as a social worker at Southlake Regional Center. Retired in summer 07' to pursue writing and photography. Hobbies are reading, writing and travel photography. My first novel, Reflections from Shadow, is now published and available. It is a fictional memoir of a boy growing up in a small town in Ontario in the 50/60's. Some of the high school experiences in the book were inspired by my years at HHSS. There is a hint of Steven King in the story as he learns a dark secret about himself during a paranormal experience while visiting Dachau concentration camp in 1969 while back-packing in Germany. Best wishes to all. My website has poetry, reviews of my novel, my blog and articles as well as a gallery of my photography. Google my name for the site address. All the best. Malcolm Watts School After university I traveled across Europe and north Africa. Have worked in social work/psychiatry for 25 years with children and familes and most recently, last 12 years, with adults. Have traveled with my wife Diane to many places including Egypt, South America, Mexico and others. My hobbies are fiction writing and travel photography. I loved HIstory and English in school and hated Math. I loved the extra-curicular activities at school - especially the school paper, variety shows, dances, and school politics. Favourite teachers were Mr. Bone, Mr. Hyde, Mr. Sutherland, Mr. Pegg,Mrs. McKenzie. Least favourite - well, I'd rather not say. My first published novel, Reflections from Shadow, will be published early in Mid May 2004. It is...Expand for more
