Mandy's Story

Life In October 2005, I moved from a a very small town on the Outer Banks of NC that was even smaller than Southport was when I was growing up! (I didn't think places like that existed anymore, but they do!) I moved from there to Pensacola, FL. I had been working on the Outer Banks of NC for 2 years doing hurricane recovery from Hurricanes Isabel (2003) and Alex (2004) for the Methodist Church. I moved to Pensacola to work for Rebuild Northwest Florida, a private nonprofit which is still cleaning ...Expand for more
up from Hurricances Ivan (2004) and Dennis (2005). It is a very rewarding job. I work very closely with clients, FEMA and also volunteers from all over the US and Canada to make sure the recovery process goes smoothly. As far as my personal life, I remarried this year and we have beautiful daughter, Madyson Grace. My brother Clay, has three beautiful sons. They live in NC and I miss them TERRIBLY!!! To my friends and classmates reading this, I hope you are all doing well and I wish you the best.
