Life
Working at the paper pretty much keeps me busy. Journalism is still one of my greatest passions and am fortunate to have been hired on at the paper. On the weekends, I try to hang out with friends--including Debby and her son. I'm in the process of possibly writing a series of children's books on special needs with a good friend...Expand for more

I am working at the Ventura County Star newspaper in Ventura--currently am working the evening shift and working on the web side of the paper. I can be reached at mmmccarthy at VenturaCountyStar.com. I had my first byline in June writing a graduation story on La Reina.
